We live in a world of shouting (advertising), yelling (sitcoms), non-stop words (radio & TV), and where we give credit & priority to those who say the most (authors in journals, newspapers, etc), a world where people talk rather than listen, where my viewpoint is king and conversations exist merely to convert the nonbeliever.
But what of the quiet?
What about those who say the least and DO the most? What of actions? What of silence? What of the soft & gentle moments where you find out who you really are? What of those self-defining times that require no words? Where’s the place for a still small voice in an anxious large world?
What of the quiet?
You are wise to come to this conclusion. I agree that there seems to be little merit in words that are so forcefully stacked. They become clutter. Sometimes those who speak the most are the same ones who think the least, I’ve noticed. Interesting.
Ryan-
You haven’t posted anything on here in a long time. Are you posting somewhere else I could be looking at? Just wondering.
