Luf

Back by popular request…well, alright, I just wanted to put it up here, but anyhow…it’s an oldie, but a goodie, one that definitely has withstood the test of time…in fact, I think it may be the only one. :o)

Luf, my friend, is all you need
to calm that raging sea.
For it’s luf, with the ‘uf
that makes us you and me.
Now I know it’s hard to ‘uf the luf,
but practice & you will
And when you get that ‘uf in luf
ohhh ~~~ so much better will you feel.
That’s all I have to say for now;
remember, luf is true!
So live each day with ‘uf in luf
and luf will you get too.

Ask me sometime to read it to you…the accent is much of the effect on this one.

Thoughts & Feelings

Tears fall and like rivers flow
Bitterly your life does bite
Stirrings within do covet those stings
Meant to teach the soul

The sky cannot hold your lofty dreams
Nor the oceans drown your faith
On the wings of wind your fears do flee
And light burns within your breast

Passion, that fuel which feeds imagination
Rises to conquer mountains of disbelief
Your heart speaks as a dear friend
Listen: gentle, quiet, mild

All through your days heaven looks upon
And in your darkest moments
You are not forgotten. You are not alone
For inside you lives the divine

Mysterious Ways

God speaks to man. This I know.
From Eternity to Eternity his knowledge resides.
In Him, believing man finds miracles,
And the faithful man’s fear subsides.

Before our time here we walked and talked with Him.
We learned and grew to meet this fleshy life.
More specifically, our trials were known and we prepared
To continue in truth ‘mid eminent, ample strife.

God speaks to man. This I know.
And as man to his Father does turn,
The mist that covers premortal memories
Parts and our souls do heavenward yearn.

Mysterious at times though His ways do seem
The truth is there to feel
For the humble servant and for the meek
Concrete assurances can heal

God speaks to man. This I know.
And of nothing I’ve been more sure
From His throne on high and to my heart below
He speaks His wisdom pure

I love you Father. No one knows my heart but you. I guess there really IS a reason that my faith is to be placed in you and you alone. Savior may I learn to love thee and walk the path that thou hast shown?

WIth a Little Help from My Friends

Powers unseen come to my aide
They strengthen me
They give me clarity

So hard on myself I near collapse
But others are there
Others help me see

That I am not alone
That I am of worth
That I have a work to do

Thank you Lord for sustaining me
Through the love of my family and friends
Thank you for letting me see your way
